Special sections of the site encourage visitors and residents to experience the Appalachian Trail, go birding or visit the area's many parks and wildlife areas. The draw of the Cumberland Valley's many natural, scenic, historic and recreational assets is a prime example of the economic benefit of preserving these important resources that contribute to sense of place.
